SiteSwap connects buyers and sellers. Take reasonable steps to check the item, the seller and the transaction before completing a sale.

Review the seller's profile, account history and reviews. Business verification can provide additional information, but it does not guarantee a transaction.
Where possible, arrange collection or inspection in a safe, appropriate location. Let someone know where you are going when meeting someone you do not know.
Confirm the item and transaction details before transferring money. Be cautious if someone pressures you to pay quickly or requests unusual payment methods.
Be cautious of prices that appear unrealistic, copied photos, vague descriptions, requests to communicate outside SiteSwap immediately or unexpected payment links.
Use SiteSwap's report and block tools if you see suspicious listings, abusive behaviour, fake profiles or other activity that concerns you.
Unless SiteSwap introduces an integrated payment service in the future, payment arrangements are made directly between the buyer and seller. Users are responsible for deciding whether to proceed with a transaction.
If an item appears suspicious, has identifying marks removed, has an unclear ownership history or you believe it may be stolen, do not proceed with the transaction.
